Some days ago I suddenly wasn't able to access my windows network shares with my Android phone any more. (I'm using ES file explorer.) After a few tries I remembered, that I recently changed all my passwords, also my server-password. So I deleted the settings for der file-server on my phone and tried to re-establish a connection. This wasn't possible at all. I constantly got the following message:
After googling for some time it came to my mind, that I changed my password to a much more complicated password with special chars in it. So i quick set up a test-account with a simple alphanumerical password and woosh -> access granted.
So if you like to access your windows network shares with ES file explorer be sure to use a account with no special chars in you password.
